Interactions Therapy Center
Dr. Gail Gabbert, D. Min., LMFT, CRADC
FAQs:
What is the fee?
The fee is $100 per session for individual, couples or family therapy regardless of the
number of persons attending.
There is a missed session fee if you do not cancel your
appointment within 24 hours of the session. Payment is due on the
day of service.
Are the services covered by health insurance?
Most types of insurance will cover outpatient mental health counseling. Dr. Gail Gabbert
currently serves on 50 different insurance (PPO, HMO or EAP) panels and is able to receive
reimbursement from most types of insurance. To be certain, check your mental health
benefits to inquire about deductibles, co-payments, pre-certification requirements and
verify if they cover marital/family counseling.
What are the office hours?
ITC accomodates your schedule by offering some evening hours in addition to normal business
hours. Sessions are
by appointment only.
How long do sessions last?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length, but they can sometimes be shorter or longer.
How often are sessions scheduled?
You may schedule the session frequency in a manner that fits your needs and finances.
However, many clients will attend weekly appointments until they see an improvement
in their situation, and then may decrease the frequency.
What is the average length of treatment?
Length of treatment depends upon various factors, including seriousness of the problem.
Generally, couples and family counseling tends to be briefer or shorter in length than
individual psychotherapy.
Will the therapist prescribe medications if they are needed?
No. Gail Gabbert is not a medical doctor and does not have prescription privileges. She will,
however, make appropriate referrals and coordinate services by consultation with the
prescribing doctor.
What if I have marital problems and my spouse won’t participate?
Not all family members must always take part in counseling and not all members are required
to be present for all sessions. Uninterested family members often get involved in the therapy
later if there is at least one motivated person in the family.
